When these beautiful sunny days begin and temperatures rise, what better way there is to take this opportunity for an outdoors luch? It is also the time to start undressing since summer is getting closer and closer.

I took this opportunity to propose you a long skirts without stockings underneath, with a comfortable and fashionable boot. A white shirt with short sleeves, and on top a white shirt, leaft opened.

And now it's lunch time! Happy meal to all of you guys!

Quando cominciano a fare queste belle giornate di sole e le temperature si alzano, quale miglior modo di cogliere quest' occasione che pranzando all'aria aperta?!

E' anche tempo di iniziare a spogliarci visto che l'estate è sempre più vicina...

Io ho colto questa occasione per proporre una gonna lunga senza calze, con uno stivaletto comodo e alla moda. Una maglia bianca a manica corta, e sopra una camicia bianca lasciata aperta.

E ora è ora di pranzo! Buon appetito a tutti !

Changing from winter to summer wardrobe.

It's time to face the dreaded change of clothing, from winter to summer wardrobe.

Yes, I know, it is not a trivial matter. It sometime seems to make a small "transfer", and you can take from half a day (for experts) to a full day. It's a job that must be done before or after, if you do not want to end up with wool sweaters mixed with shorts and tank tops.

Where to start?

Follow me in these simple tips:

1. Start with a specific part of the wardrobe, so as not to be buried in clothing.

2. Empty that part and analyse your clothes. Here you may decide that those that are "discard", the old-fashioned ones, and the ruined ones. Pick them all up in a bag and donate them to those who need them the most. (this is my advice, it's a shame to waste them in the trash! Additionally, good deeds sometimes pay off, I assure you).

3. Check that the remaining clothes are not damaged nor dirty, whereupon proceed repairing them and/or washing them.

4. Before you put everything back in the closet or in the appropriate drawers or boxes, give the latter a nice clean too. I usually use the vacuum cleaner and then I do a freshen up with a sponge dipped into water and a cleaning product for wooden furniture. You can use the product that suits you the most, provided that it cleans effectively.

5. Put the whole back in place, but with a logic.

6. Catalogue and organise everything by type: gloves a d scarves, whereas hats on their own for example. It will make finding what you need much easier.

Another piece of advice that I wish to give you, is to always keep a "passepartout" piece of clothing for each season. In winter, always keep a jacket and a shirt at hand in case temperatures rise suddenly, and in summer keep with you a sweater for the cooler evenings, you may need it.

E' ora di affrontare il temuto cambio di guardaroba degli armadi.

Si, lo so, non è cosa da poco. A volte sembra di fare un piccolo trasloco, e ci si può impiegare da mezza giornata (per i più esperti) ad una giornata intera. E' un lavoro che prima o dopo deve essere fatto, se non vogliamo ritrovaci con maglioni di lana mischiati a pantaloncini e canottiere.

Da dove partire?

Seguitemi con questi piccoli consigli:

1. Cominciate da un parte precisa dell'armadio, onde evitare di ritrovarsi sommersi dagli indumenti.

2. Svuotate quella parte e analizzate i vostri vestiti. Qui potreste decidere quelli che sono da "scartare", quelli fuori moda, e quelli sciupati. Raccoglieteli in un sacco e donateli a chi ne ha più bisogno. (questo è un mio consiglio, è un peccato gettarli nel secchio della spazzatura! Inoltre, fare delle buone azioni ogni tanto ripaga, ve lo assicuro).

3. Controllare che gli abiti rimasti non siano sciupati o sporchi, al chè procedete nel ripararli e/o lavarli.

4. Prima di rimettere tutto nell'armadio o negli appositi cassetti o scatole, date una bella pulita anche a quelli. Di solito io, uso l'aspirapolvere e poi do una bella rinfrescata con una spugna immersa in acqua e un prodotto detergente per mobili di legno. Potete usare il prodotto che più vi aggrada, purchè pulisca in modo efficiace.

5. Riponete il tutto al proprio posto, ma con una logica.

6. Catalogate e organizzate tutto per tipologia: guanti e sciarpe, mentre i cappelli da sè per esempio. Vi sarà molto più facile trovare ciò di cui avrete bisogno.

Un altro consiglio che desiderio darvi, è quello di tenere sempre un capo "passepartout" per ogni stagione. In inverno tenete sempre una giacca ed una camicia a portata di mano se le temperature dovessero alzarsi improvvisamente; e in estate tenetevi un maglioncino per le serate più fresche, fa sempre comodo.

BACK TO CHILDHOOD

Have you ever heard about Walt Disney? I guess you all know about it! Which of you has never been in a big playground like Disneyland Paris or Disneyworld in the U.S.?
Which of you has never taken a picture with the legendary Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse?
Do you remember those days of serene carefreeness and carelessness?
Which of you sometimes would like to return a little girl or boy?
Today I did it.
All it took me was a puppet and a braid.
Avete mai sentito parlare di Walt Disney? Immagino tutti voi lo conosciate!
Chi di voi non è mai stato in un grande parco giochi come Disneyland Paris o Disneyworld negli USA?
Chi di voi non ha mai fatto una foto con i mitici Topolino e Minnie?
Ricordate quei giorni di serena spensieratezza e di leggerezza?
Chi di voi a volte vorrebbe tornare un pò bambina/o?
Oggi io ci sono riuscita.
Mi è bastato un pupazzo ed una treccia.

Today I wanted to go back to childhood but in a chic way!
Once our mother was our favorite hairdresser which she used to come and create hairdos with our hair. Nowadays, that the little girls have grown up, braids represent simply a glamorous hairstyle that you can show off at each occasion.
A braid makes our hair look elegant but also it can make it look sporty.
Definitely the clothing and the accessories we wear are what make the difference.
In the pictures below, I opted for a sporty look and a classic braid, very easy to do.
But there are many different braid types that you can do:

Oggi sono voluta tornare bambina ma con un tocco chic!
Una volta era la mamma la nostra parrucchiera preferita che veniva e acconciava le nostre chiome. Oggigiorno, che siamo ormai bambine cresciute, le trecce rappresentano semplicemente un'acconciatura glamour da poter sfoggiare in ogni occasione.
Una treccia fa apparire la nostra chioma elegante ma può anche farla sembrare sportiva.
A fare la differenza è sicuramente l'abbigliamento e gli accessori che indossiamo.
Io, nelle immagini sottostanti, ho optato per un look sportivo ed una treccia classica e molto facile da realizzare.

My hairdo type is called "French Braid" or "French Plait". It is probably the simplest form of three-strand braid and this particular hairsyle dates back to 1871.
Attention:
Do not mistake it with the "Dutch Braid", which is also created with the crossing of three sections of hair, however, in this type the strands of hair are crossed under each other and not over.

Il mio tipo di acconciatura è chiamato "Trecchia Francese" o "Intreccio alla Francese". E' probabilmente la forma più facile di una treccia a tre ciocche di capelli e questo particolare stile di capelli risale al 1871.
Attenzione:
Da non confondere con la "Treccia Olandese", che viene anch'essa creata dall'intreccio di tre sezioni di capelli, tuttavia, in questa tipologia le ciocche di capelli vengono intrecciate le une sotto le altre e non al di sopra.

In addition to common people, TV stars appeared in more than one occasion with hairdos made with braids. I don't know .... in my view they favour a look that is a bit chic, a bit little-girl and that definitely takes out our femininity.
Oltre alla gente comune le stelle del cinema si sono presentate in più di un'occasione con delle acconciature realizzate con le treccie. Non so.... secondo me favoriscono un aspetto un po chic, un po bambina e decisamente lasciano emergere la nostra femminilità.

Braids are worn (as you can see from the celebrities) at all ages!! No matter what your age group is, dare and go for a braid, particularly for a special occasion! You won't regret it!

Le treccie sono indossate (come potete vedere dalle celebrità) ad ogni età! Non importa quale sia la vostra fascia d'età, osate e optate per una treccia, in particolare per un'occasione speciale! Non ve ne pentirete!

Perfumes were born many years ago, about 5000 years ago.

They were used with a very oily base to protect the skin burned by the sun.

To this oily base vegetal aromas such as myrrh, frankincense and aloe were added, and only subsequently alcohol-based perfumes had been introduced.

The birth of the modern art of perfume, was between the 1600s and 1700s with the invention of the water of Cologne. Only in 1800s and 1900s the variety of available essences increased due to colonialism and scents like vanilla spread over.

The first fragrance ever produced and sold on market was created by the same Coco Chanel.

Ammesso e non concesso che sia così, trovo che Marilyn abbia creato la frase del secolo tuttavia, a mio parere che abbia toppato in pieno in quanto a gusti...

I profumi nacquero tantissimi anni fa, circa 5000 anni orsono.

Venivano utilizzati con una base molto oleosa per proteggere la pelle arsa dal sole.

A questa base oleosa venivano aggiunti aromi vegetali come la mirra, l'incenso e l'aloe, e solo successivamente furono introdotti i profumi a base alcolica.

La nascita della moderna arte profumiera avvenne tra il '600 e il '700 con l'invenzione dell'acqua di Colonia. Solo nell'800 e nel '900 la varietà delle essenze disponibili aumentò grazie al colonialismo e si diffusero profumi come la vaniglia.

What you have to know is that the undersigned has a disease for them: perfumes.

They are one of my biggest obsessions!

Not surprisingly, one of the five senses that I prefer is the smell. It is thanks to smells that I can revive and recreate in my head already experienced emotions and already tried sensations.

Scent therefore, enables me to get hold of pleasant olfactory sensations which stimulate a sense of well-being. In addition, depending on the fragrance that I wear, I try in some way to externalize my character and personality.

Ciò che dovete sapere è che la sottoscritta ha una malattia verso di essi: i profumi.

Sono una delle mie più grandi fissazioni!

Non a caso, uno dei cinque sensi che prediligo è l olfatto. E' grazie agli odori che riesco a rivivere e ricreare nella mia testa emozioni già vissute e sensazioni già provate.

Il profumo perciò, riesce a procurarmi sensazioni olfattive gradevoli, che stimolano un senso di benessere. Inoltre, a seconda della fragranza che porto,cerco in qualche maniera di esternare il mio carattere e personalità.

I do not like to be labeled with a unique fragrance ... yes, I have a perfume in particular that I do prefer but I do really have a lot of different perfumes. I like to vary and change, with the same frequency with which I change outfit. Moreover, each perfume reflects my mood and my state of mind. I go in search of the most unusual scents and fragrances and I wear from the more eccentric ones, to some more classical and delicate ones.

Non mi piace essere etichettata con un unico profumo... si, ho un profumo in particolare che prediligo ma di miei personali ne ho veramente diversi. Mi piace variare e cambiare, con la stessa frequenza con cui cambio un abito. Inoltre, ogni profumo riflette il mio umore e lo stato della mia mente. Vado dalla ricerca dei profumi e delle fragranze più insolite ed indosso da quelle più eccentriche, a quelle più classiche e delicate.

Unfortunately not everyone is tolerant to perfumes; there are people who - unfortunately -are allergic to them. But for people like me who make as we say, "a bath in the scent", I would like to recommend you a few.

Let me remind you, however, that the choice of perfume is very, very personal.

A perfume should be chosen based on our feelings and our instincts. It must always be able to reflect our state of mind, that's why you may want to change it depending on the mood, even every day.

Just today I did shop in a perfumery and I allowed myself to buy several accessories to combine with my next outfits.

Purtroppo non tutti sono tolleranti ai profumi; vi sono persone che - sfortunatamente - sono allergiche ad essi. Ma per chi come me ci fa, come si suol dire, "il bagno nel profumo", vorrei consigliarvene alcuni.

Vorrei ricordarvi però che la scelta del profumo è molto, molto personale.

Un profumo va scelto in base alle nostre sensazioni ed al nostro istinto. Deve sempre saper rispecchiare il nostro stato d'animo, ecco perchè si può decidere di cambiarlo a seconda dell'umore, anche tutti i giorni.

Proprio oggi ho fatto spesa in profumeria e mi sono concessa di acquistare diversi accessori da abbinare in qualche mio prossimo outfits.

The nightmare of every mother who, when she has to clean, does not know where to put her hands on.

My nightmare, if instead by chance one day I would not find all of my perfumes in their place.

Qui sotto, trattasi della mia mensola.

L'incubo di ogni mamma che, quando deve andare a pulire, non sa dove mettere le mani.

Il mio incubo, se invece per caso un giorno non trovassi tutti i miei profumi al loro posto.

I do not like wearing men's fragrances, also because, if they have distinguished male from female fragrances there must be a reason, right or not?

I do not know a definite answer. However, I made an observation:

that probably women's fragrances have been created to capture the attention of the male, and vice versa men's fragrances should capture our attention.

Therefore, I try to avoid to use male's scents.

And you might ask me: "So why amongst all of these scents, you have a perfume for men?" (Dolce & Gabbana in zebra pattern, as you will see in the following photo). Well, the answer is simple.

It is the scent that my first boyfriend used to wear when we met. My first love story.

Soon after, the scent has been taken off the market.

And long after the story with this guy was over, I went looking desperately for one last bottle of that perfume.

I think you cannot find it anymore. The last one is probably this one, and it is here on my shelf.

What a stupid thing right?

Yet I keep it like gold.

Sometimes I need to smell it.

Sniff it yes, because to spray it it would be too much, it would be a waste.

I smell it when I feel the need to remember the past times.

And what about you, has something like this never happened? A very nice love story (the first one) of which - despite ended badly - you only want to keep the good memories with you deleting the bad ones only with a smell?

Non amo portare profumi maschili, anche perchè, se hanno distinto profumi maschili da quelli femminili un motivo ci dovrà pure essere o no?

Io una risposta certa non la so. Ma ho fatto una considerazione:

che probabilmente, le fragranze femminili sono state create per catturare l'attenzione del maschio, e viceversa le fragranze maschili dovrebbero catturare le nostre di attenzioni.

Quindi cerco di evitare di usare profumi maschili...

E a voi probabilmente mi chiederete: " allora come mai tra tutti questi profumi, hai un profumo da uomo?" (Dolce & Gabbana zebrato, come vedrete nella prossima foto). Bhè, la risposta è semplice.

E' il profumo che il mio primo ragazzo usava quando ci siamo conosciuti. La mia prima storia d'amore.

Poco dopo, quel profumo è stato tolto dal mercato.

E molto dopo che la storia con questo ragazzo era terminata, sono andata alla ricerca disperata di un'ultima boccetta di quel profumo.

Credo non si trovi più. L'ultima è probabilmente questa, ed è qui sulla mia mensola.

Che cosa stupida vero?

Eppure la tengo come l'oro.

A volte ho bisogno di annusarla.

Annusarla si, perchè spruzzarla sarebbe troppo, sarebbe uno spreco.

L'annuso quando sento il bisogno di ricordare i tempi passati.

E a voi, vi è mai capitato qualcosa di simile? Una bella storia d'amore (la prima) della quale - nonostante sia finita male - ne volete solo custodire i bei ricordi cancellando quelli cattivi solo con un odore?

Who does not think that the ALL STAR are the shoe model par excellence?

Who does not have a pair, at least one, in his/her wardrobe?

Chi come me non pensa che le ALL STAR siano il modello di scarpa per antonomasia?

Chi come me non ne ha almeno un paio, e dico uno, nel proprio armadio?

Converse, for the unaware people, is a company dating back to the twentieth century and the company's best-known product has just been the 'All Star' model. This footwear was born to improve the game of a basket ball professional, then it became fashionable in the world of music in the '60s, '70s and '80s.

Particularly n the nineties, this shoe type have become popular due to the various styles, colours and materials with which they were innovated.

Converse, per chi non lo sapesse, è un'azienda del novecento ed il prodotto più conosciuto dell'azienda è stato proprio il modello 'All star'. Questa calzatura era nata per migliorare il gioco di un professionista della palla canestro, poi è diventata moda nel mondo della musica negli anni '60, '70 ed '80.

Particolarmente egli anni Novanta, questo tipo di scarpa è diventata popolare grazie ai vari stili, colori e materiali con cui venivano innovate.
